Charleston County Participating in National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday
Tuesday, September 20th is National Voter Registration Day, which seeks to ensure that eligible voters have an opportunity to vote in the November 8th General Election. The Charleston County Board of Elections & Voter Registration team will participate in National Voter Registration Day at the following locations:
- Trident Technical College student lounge 10 am to 12 pm, 7000 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406
- Voter registration and registration updates
- Poll manager signups
- CHSVotes freebies
- Frothy Beard Brewing Company from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, 1401 Sam Rittenberg Blvd., Charleston, SC 29407
- Voter registration and registration updates

Charleston County residents can also register:
- Online at https://info.scvotes.sc.gov/eng/ovr/start.aspx.
- In person at the Board of Elections & Voter Registration office, located at 4367 Headquarters Road, North Charleston.
- By printing an application from https://scvotes.gov/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/VR-Blank-Form_0.pdf and:
- Mailing to P.O. 71419, North Charleston, S.C. 29415
- Faxing to (843) 745-2236
- Emailing to voterregistration@charlestoncounty.org (must provide signature)
The deadlines to register to vote in the 2022 General Election:
- In person: Friday, October 7th at 5 pm
- Electronically: Sunday, October 9th at 11:59 pm
- By mail: postmarked by Tuesday, October 11th.

The Board of Elections & Voter Registration is also encouraging voters to make sure they are vote ready ahead of the General Election in November. Residents can visit scvotes.gov to ensure their information is up to date and review a sample ballot to prepare for Election Day.
