Contest
Charleston’s Inaugural Dog Costume Contest will be held on October 9th During Second Sunday on King
Charleston’s inaugural Halloween dog costume contest, WagOWeen, invites guests to Trick-or-Treat along King Street with their furry friend(s) on Sunday, October 9th from 1 pm to 5 pm, in conjunction with 2nd Sunday on King.
Local celebrity judges will award prizes for the most creative and fun dog costumes. A $20 tax-deductible donation gives you and your dog admission, a Trick-or-Treat pass, a doggie swag bag, and entry into the costume contest.
All proceeds benefit The LENS Foundation’s support of the Charleston Police Department’s K-9 unit, which plays a pivotal role in de-escalating violence, preventing loss of life, and enabling peaceful police outcomes through area sweeps for narcotics, locating crime suspects, and more.
Check-in is from 1 pm to 2 pm between King and Society Streets, and judging begins at 2 pm at The Charleston Place.
