Make Brookgreen Gardens part of your fall family adventures!
The summer may be over but fall has a wonderful variety of events and exhibits for the whole family to enjoy. The National Sculpture Society’s 89th Annual Awards Exhibition is on display until October 23 in the Rosen Galleries. The premier annual exhibition of American figurative sculpture features the work of masters alongside rising stars in the art world.
From Chaos to Beloved Community: Envisioning Social Justice, the 2022/2023 African American Fiber Art Traveling Exhibition, curated by Torreah “Cookie” Washington, features 19 pieces crafted by African American fiber artists from around the nation.
CULTIVATING THE DUTCH TRADITION IN THE 21st CENTURY – Jane Jones’ Hyperrealist Floral Paintings focuses on the elegance and detail of flowers without any extraneous details. It is open in the Noble Gallery through November 15. Curated by David J. Wagner, Ph.D.
Fall events include the Gullah Geechee Junkanoo Festival on September 10, 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., “The Music of Queen” Tribute concert, September 21 – 25, our Fall Plant Sale and the family favorite, Harvest Home Weekend Festival October 1-2.
Are you a beer lover? Then make plans and get your tickets for Brew at the Zooon November 5 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. Over 30 local and regional breweries will be on hand with samples of their favorites. Full size beer and wine will also be available for purchase. Get all the information.
