UPDATE: All CCPL Branches and Offices Closed for Hurricane Ian
UPDATE on 9/29/22 – Due to the increasing threat of severe weather from Hurricane Ian, ALL CCPL branches and offices will now be closed from today, Thursday, September 29th through Sunday, October 2nd. CCPL expects to resume normal operating schedules on Monday, October 3rd.
Due to the threat of severe weather from Hurricane Ian, Charleston County Public Library (CCPL) will close all its branches and offices on Thursday, September 29th and Friday, September 30th. If needed, future closures will be announced at a later date.
Book drops and automated material returns will also be closed during this time. Patrons are asked to not leave items outside of the book drops. As a reminder, patrons may still access CCPL’s digital resources during the closures by visiting ccpl.org.
CCPL has also postponed the reopening for the renovated Dorchester Road Library, located at 6325 Dorchester Road in North Charleston. The branch was scheduled to reopen on Monday, October 3rd. A new reopening date will be announced once available.
