Joe Cunningham Releases New Ad Highlighting Governor McMaster’s “Extreme Anti-Choice Position”

Democratic nominee for Governor Joe Cunningham today released a new ad, titled “Consequences,” which takes aim at Governor McMaster’s “extreme anti-choice views” by referencing his previous comments on the issue.

“One answer is don’t get pregnant. And if you do, there should be consequences,” Governor McMaster says in the ad.

The Cunningham campaign said the Governor has one of the most extreme anti-choice stances in the country, expressing support on multiple occasions for a total ban with no exceptions for rape, incest, or for the life of the mother.

“The stakes in this election could not be higher,” Cunningham said. “These healthcare decisions should be between women and their doctors–not politicians.”

The ad is running statewide.
