“Laser Stranger Things” Show Debuts at the State Museum on October 28th
“Fright” Night Laser Lights at the South Carolina State Museum returns with a new, special Halloween show on Fri., Oct. 28 from 6 – 10 p.m. Guests are invited to experience “Laser Stranger Things” featuring music from the popular Netflix series set to a stunning display of lasers inside the museum’s 55-foot BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Planetarium. The show features spooky synth soundscapes and iconic tunes from the fourth season, including “Running Up That Hill” by Kate Bush, “Master of Puppets” by Metallica and more visualized in vibrant laser lights.
Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their best creative costumes and enjoy frightful fun with a Dark History Tour through the museum’s galleries. During this tour, offered throughout the evening, guests will discover the true story of Columbia’s catacombs, hear stories from Gullah Geechee folklore and explore more infamous tales from South Carolina’s history. Delicious food for purchase from local food truck, Chuckie Cheese Steak & Hoagie, and a cash bar with a selection of Columbia Craft Beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.
Tickets are $10 per show for the general public and $8 per show for museum members, guests aged 18 and above are encouraged. Advance ticket purchase is strongly recommended as shows have a limited capacity and often sell out. Tickets and showtimes are available online at scmuseum.org.
