Born in Rochefort-sur-Mer on the west coast of France in 1948, Jean Claude Roy is a highly accomplished international artist who paints dramatic, vibrant landscapes with oil paint and a palette knife. His work reflects the season, the weather, the stories of passers-by, his mood and the “feeling of the place” and serves as both a page in his diary as well as a tribute to the places he paints. Roy divides his time between France and Newfoundland and is a featured artist in galleries at various Kessler Collection hotels across the United States.
The Grand Bohemian Hotel – Grand Bohemian Gallery is located at 55 Wentworth Street.
