Revelry Brewing Celebrates 8-Year Anniversary with Block Party Benefiting The Green Heart Project
Revelry Brewing Company will celebrate its 8th anniversary with its annual block party benefiting local nonprofit, The Green Heart Project.
The event will take place on Sunday, October 30th from 12 pm to 6 pm at the brewery’s home at 10 Conroy Street. The Halloween-themed event encourages guests to dress up, enjoy Revelry brews, and the local culinary offerings from Chef BJ Dennis, Marvin Ross (Peculiar Pig), Chef Shuai Wang (King BBQ & Jackrabbit Filly), Chef Graham Calabria, Mex 1 Coastal Cantina, and Tobo Sushi. DJ Sparkbox will be there to spin for party go-ers in the street, while The Goatery (Johns Island) welcomes guests for furry photo opps with their baby goats.
“The growth in the local brewery scene has been amazing to be a part of,” said Revelry Brewing partner Sean Fleming. “The relationships and partnerships we’ve built with organizations like The Green Heart Project have made for an incredible 8 years. Our block party is always a fun and inspiring event with all the right elements – the most important element being our patrons! We have so much love and appreciation for them and we look forward to throwing down with them on October 30th.”
Tickets are $12, available online at City Paper Tickets and at the door until the event reaches capacity. Children under 10 are free and, as always, so are dogs. 100% of ticket sales will benefit The Green Heart Project’s Farm to School programs. This event has raised over $142,000 in 7 years.
“Revelry has been one of our core partners since their opening over eightyears ago,” said Amanda Howell, Green Heart Project’s Development Director. “The Block Party is one of our favorite events of the year, where we get to come together as a community to celebrate the beautiful Fall weather and enjoy delicious local food, all while supporting our mission of growing food, minds and community in Charleston through Farm to School programs!”
