High Wire Distilling to Host Benton’s Breakfast and Smoked Jimmy Red Bourbon Release Party on Saturday

High Wire Distilling today announced the release of their highly anticipated Benton’s Smoked Jimmy Red Bourbon Whiskey will be released during a breakfast event on October 29th from 9 am – 12 pm. The spirit was created in collaboration with Benton’s Country Hams in Madisonville, TN.

This whiskey is the barrel aged version of the unaged spirit High Wire released last fall. To celebrate, they distillery is hosting a ticketed breakfast featuring all things Benton’s in a Build-Your-Own Biscuit bar, creative cocktails made with Benton’s smoked spirits, and guests of honor, Allan and Sharon Benton.

Tickets are $50 per person, and attendees will have the first opportunity to purchase bottles of this limited release bourbon. They’ll also have some packaged Benton’s ham and bacon available for purchase. Click here to purchase your tickets.

To create the spirit, the Benton’s team hung Jimmy Red corn in individual ham bags in their smoker alongside their hams and bacon for several weeks. A few years in the barrel transformed this smoky spirit into a bourbon unlike any other.

Online Sales & Out of State Distribution

For those of you who can’t make it that day, there are a couple of options to procure a bottle:

1) Distillery Pick-Up: At 12:30 pm on Saturday, October 29th, High Wire will release the remaining bottles for pick up at the distillery at a later time. They will send out an email that morning with details on how to purchase.

2) Out of State Distribution: Stay tuned for further updates
