Live-Fire Culinary Event Featuring Several Local Chefs Planned for December at Riverfront Park
Heritage Fire, a live-fire culinary event celebrating sustainably sourced proteins and produce, is coming to the Charleston area for the first time ever on Sunday, December 4th. The celebration will be held in North Charleston’s Riverfront Park beginning at 4:45 pm (VIP entrance starts at 4 pm).
An all-star cast of Charleston chefs will create dishes showcasing a variety of beef products from DemKota Ranch Beef in South Dakota – whole pigs, lamb, goat, squab, rabbit, duck, fish, chicken, artisan cheeses, and heirloom vegetables.
Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased online. Both General Admission ($99) and VIP ($150) are all-inclusive and include unlimited curated dishes, beverage pairings, live entertainment, and more.

Heritage Fire’s website says they are a “premiere, whole-animal, nationwide food and wine tour celebrating heritage breed livestock and heirloom produce. The daytime feast offers an endless array of sustainably sourced food from the region’s top family farms and local purveyors, prepared by some of the region’s best chefs. The Heritage Fire Tour is comprised of an array of live expressions and cultivates a long-term impact for heritage species. Both educational and inspirational messages are circulated among 10,000 guests; 250-plus chefs; 150-plus family farms and numerous culinary schools each year. Everyone loves a little friendly competition, and at Heritage Fire guests will vote for Best Bite of the Day, and the winner will be crowned Heritage Hero.”
