Charleston Pride Week Returns in November

This year’s Charleston Pride celebration will take place from November 6th through the 13th at various locations around the Charleston area. The nonprofit organization that promotes the visibility of the LGBTQ community in Charleston and the greater Southeast region, recently released the schedule for this year’s Pride Week.

Here’s a look at this year’s schedule:

Sunday, November 6th
- The Real Rainbow Row Walking Tour
  - 10 am and 2 pm
  - Location provided after booking
  - Join Walk & Talk on a tour chronicling the LGBTQ+ history of Charleston. This tour is ideal for ages 10+. Participants should be able to walk 1.5 miles comfortably.
Monday, November 7th
- Literary Discussion on LGBTQ+ Representation in Media
  - 6 pm – 7:30 pm
  - Bees Ferry West Ashley Library, 3035 Sanders Rd, Charleston
- Magic Mike Monday
  - 7 pm – 8:15 pm
  - Tipsy Twerk Dance Studio, 1703 Savannah Hwy Unit 3, Charleston
  - 18+, RSVP Required
  - Come join a fun-filled dance class and learn a choreographed routine inspired by Magic Mike! This 60 minute class is geared towards dancers of ALL levels of experience
- LGBTQ+ Karaoke Night
  - 9 pm
  - Bangkok Lounge, 353 King St 2nd Floor, Charleston
  - 21+
Tuesday, November 8th
- Nacho Mother’s Taco Tuesday with DJ 45 of the Dance Doctors
  - 7 – 10 pm
  - Taco Boy Downtown, 217 Huger St, Charleston
  - DJ 45 of the Dance Doctors will be spinning the tracks on the patio and Taco Boy will be serving up their specialty One Love Margarita (a sassy margarita with lime, cranberry, and passion fruit) and LGBTQ tacos (featuring lettuce, guac, bacon, tomato, and queso)
  - 10% of all food and drink sales and a portion of sales of limited edition Taco Boy Pride shirts will benefit Charleston Pride.
  - Special deals are available to attendees wearing “I Voted” stickers.
Wednesday, November 9th
- Patti O’Furniture’s “On The Back Deck” Happy Hour Drag Show
  - 5:30-7:30 pm
  - Madra Rua, 1034 E Montague Ave, N Charleston
  - Join Charleston’s only free, family-friendly happy hour drag show supporting Charleston Pride, hosted by Patti O’Furniture, featuring the Empress Kymmya Starr, Emperor Don Javi, Sovereign Jonlly R St. Martin, and Diamond Giovanni with music by DJ Switchburg
  - Drink specials and $8 burgers all night long.
- Game Night: Arcade, Bowling, and Trivia
  - 6 – 10:30 pm (21+ after 8 pm)
  - The Alley, 131 Columbus St.
  - Enjoy happy hour until 7 pm, free access to the arcade until 8 pm, trivia starting at 8:30 pm, and $12 buckets of select beers all night
  - Bowling lanes will be reserved for Charleston Pride from 7 pm – 10:30 pm, however, there is an added fee to bowl
Thursday, November 10th
- LGBTLOL: A Night of Stand-Up Comedy
  - Charleston Music Hall, 37 John St, Charleston
  - $10
  - Laugh out loud at LGBTLOL featuring Jenn Snyder, Shawna Jarrett, Curt Mariah, and more!
- Therapy Thursdays Drag Show with Dr. Brooke Collins
  - 10 pm
  - Dudley’s on Ann
    42 Ann St, Charleston
    21+ No cover, $5 suggested donationCome get your weekly dose of Therapy with Dr. Brooke Collins(STI)! She might have the perfect solution, but if not, laughter heals!
Friday, November 11th
- Prism with DJ NattyHeavy
  - 6 – 11 pm
  - The Refinery, 1640 Meeting Street, Charleston
  - 18+
  - GA: $22, VIP (21+): $55
  - Join DJ NattyHeavy and celebrate with 5 hours of dancing, drag, and drinking
  - Food trucks will be on-site throughout the event
Saturday, November 12th
- Charleston Pride Festival
  - 12 – 6 pm
  - The Refinery, 1640 Meeting Street, Charleston
  - GA: FREE, VIP (21+): $65
  - This year’s event is full of fun for all ages including a curated selection of live entertainment, local food trucks, specialty drinks, and vendors
Sunday, November 13th
- Drag Me to Brunch
  - 12 – 4 pm (Show at 1 pm)
  - Port of Call, 99 S. Market St. Suite 5, Charleston
  - Finish off Pride Week by joining Charleston Pride for Sunday Drag Brunch
  - Music by DJ Trevor D
- Event at Frannie & the Fox
  - 12 pm – 4 pm
  - Hotel Emeline, 237 Meeting St, Charleston
  - Hosted by Brooke Collins, with performances by Shariese Ses Pieces and The Empress of Charleston Pride Kymmya Starr
