National Geographic Includes International African American Museum in List of “Breathtaking Places and Experiences for 2023”

National Geographic recently included Charleston’s upcoming International African American Museum in its list of “25 Breathtaking Places and Experiences for 2023.” The magazine says this annual list showcases the world’s best destinations for travelers.

The list was reported by National Geographic’s global editors and focused on five categories – Community, Nature, Culture, Family, and Adventure. The museum was highlighted in the “Culture” section, with the magazine saying, “Explore culture and history—with a side of Low Country cuisine—at the International African American Museum in Charleston, South Carolina.”
