Charleston County Government Recognized by the Government Finance Officers Association

The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has named Charleston County as a 2020 Triple Crown winner. The designation recognizes governments who received GFOA’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, Popular Annual Financial Reporting Award, and the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for a fiscal year. Charleston County is one of 317 governments that received the Triple Crown for fiscal year 2020.
“We take pride in our financial reporting which provides transparency to taxpayers on how government funds are being used,” said Deputy Administrator of Finance Corine Altenhein. “This award recognizes the dedication from Charleston County staff to achieve excellence in financial reporting.”
