Charleston Veterans Day Parade Scheduled for November 6th
The Ralph H. Johnson VA Health Care System’s annual Veterans Day Parade will take place on Sunday, November 6th at 1 pm (opening remarks begin at 12:50 pm). The parade will include historic military vehicles, motorcycle groups, and Veteran’s service organization floats. This year’s parade Grand Marshal is Mr. Joe Lysaght.
This is the 22nd year the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center will be coordinating this celebratory Veterans Day parade in the City of Charleston.
The parade will kick-off at the corner of Market Street and East Bay Street with a welcome address from Ralph H. Johnson VA Health Care System Director Mr. Scott R. Isaacks followed by remarks from Charleston Mayor John Tecklenburg. After the remarks, Laing Middle School chorus will sing the national anthem and a C-17 Globemaster III will flyover from Joint Base Charleston’s 437th Airlift Wing.
Parade Route:
- Begins at Concord St. and Market St.
- Continues West on Market St. to East Bay St.
- Continues South on East Bay St. to Broad St.
- Continues West on Broad St.
- Ends at Colonial Lake
