Leffew Restaurant Group Hires New Corporate Executive Chef
A new corporate executive chef has joined the Leffew Restaurant Group, starting with Lucky Rooster Kitchen + Bar. Michael Garcia (right), a self-taught chef with over 25 years of experience, honed his craft in resorts and private clubs including the Sonesta Resort and Palmetto Dunes Resort in Hilton Head.
“We’re excited to have Michael on our team,” said managing partner and co-owner David Leffew. “He knows the area well and is a great chef — we’re excited to have him creating new menus that will create an experience for guests.”
“The opportunity to be part of the big picture in Leffew restaurants, is exciting,” said Garcia. “I’m looking forward to creating new trends to allow guests to expand their flavor horizons and mentoring up-and-coming chefs to pass on my experience to the younger generation to bring low country dining into a more modern twist.”
Lucky Rooster Kitchen + Bar is open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m., and for lunch and brunch Friday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Daily happy hours and live music on the patio will provide even more reasons to visit.
