SC Works Trident Announces November Hiring Events

SC Works Trident today announced three marquee hiring events scheduled to take place throughout November, each designed to connect jobseekers and employers throughout the tri-county region.

The scheduled events are:

• MUSC Hiring Event, Wednesday, November 9th

• Roper St. Francis Healthcare Hiring Event, Tuesday, November 15th

• Veterans Job Fair, Wednesday, November 16th

Each event is open to the public. Pre-registration is not required.

The SC Works Trident Career Express and SC Works Career Coach, mobile extensions of the statewide SC Works centers, will be on-site at each of these events to assist jobseekers with resume updates and other job applications needs.

Those interested in attending these events are encouraged to bring an updated resume. Jobseekers in need of preparation assistance prior to the event are invited to visit their local SC Works Trident center.

EVENT DETAILS

MUSC Hiring Event

• November 9, 2022 | 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • 2 South Park Circle
  • Charleston, SC 29407
• MUSC recruiters will be on-site to meet with jobseekers. MUSC will provide information on the types of jobs available at MUSC sites in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties, and will discuss training programs they offer to individuals seeking an entry-level role.
• Jobseekers are encouraged to dress for success, bring a resume and be prepared to complete an online application. Interviews will be conducted on-site and MUSC will be making On The Spot Job Offers to qualified jobseekers.

Roper St. Francis Healthcare Hiring Event

• November 15, 2022 | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
• SC Works Charleston
  • 1930 Hanahan Rd. Suite 200
  • North Charleston, SC 29406
• Jobseekers should come prepared to interview.

Opportunities are available at all four hospital locations:

• Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital (West Ashley)
• Roper Hospital (Downtown)
• Roper St. Francis Mount Pleasant Hospital (Mount Pleasant)
• Roper St. Francis Berkeley Hospital (Summerville)

Representatives will be hiring for Environmental Services (Housekeeping) positions, which offer limitless opportunities for growth (further your education, earn certifications and receive tuition reimbursement).

Some potential pathways for growth include:

• Patient care technician (PCT)
• Emergency care technician (ED Tech)
• Materials management

Veterans Job Fair (open to all members of the public)

• November 16, 2022 | 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
• Trident Technical College
• Dorchester Campus
  • 10055 Dorchester Road
  • Summerville, SC 29485
• A variety of employers will be present to share information about current job opportunities. The event is a platform for veterans to connect with employers and receive information on Veterans Services resources, although all jobseekers are invited to attend.
