Mount Pleasant Towne Centre Kicks Off The Holidays With The Annual “Lights Up” Event
Mount Pleasant Towne Centre is getting into the spirit of the holiday season with its annual Lights Up event, a Mount Pleasant-favorite tradition. On Saturday, November 19th, the community is invited to bring their friends and family to enjoy the lighting of the Towne Centre’s 40-foot Christmas tree, a stunning laser light show, live holiday music, festive treats and drinks, and a visit from Santa Claus himself. The event runs from 6 pm to 8 pm.
Hosted by Brian Cleary of 92.5 Kickin’ Country, the event is a special fundraiser benefiting Camp Rise Above, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide life-changing camp experiences to children with serious illnesses, disabilities, and challenges. Camp Rise Above creates customized programs that teach campers to overcome obstacles and grow in their confidence and capabilities. Camp Rise Above volunteers will be selling fun sparkling items so all event guests can also Light Up.
East Cooper Baptist Church Choir & Orchestra and Jared Petteys and the Headliners will perform a live medley of popular songs and beloved holiday tunes. Treats and drinks will be available from Burtons Grill & Bar, SAVI Cucina & Wine Bar, Wine Cellar Wine & Gifts, Zimo’s Gyros, Madrigals Tacos, & Lobster, The Ice Cream Team, Holy City Popcorn, and Holy City Homemade Italian Ice, as well as face painting by Faith and balloon animals by Carol’s Balloon Art. Additionally, guests have the chance to win prizes from Mount Pleasant Towne Centre and participating locations including SAVI Cucina & Wine Bar, Southern Tide by M. Dimas & Sons, Lush, Lizard Thicket Boutique, Malika Canteen, Hyatt Place, Pandora, StylExchange, Palmetto Moon, Copper Penny, Burtons Grill & Bar, Old Navy and more.
