The Alley, a downtown Charleston entertainment venue and sports bar, celebrated it’s 10 year anniversary this Thursday– a rare feat in today’s hospitality industry. The retro-themed venue, a former reclaimed liquor distribution warehouse, opened on November 17th, 2012.

The establishment features eight bowling lanes; three separate bars serving craft beer, spirits, and wine; a full kitchen with unique American classics; a classic arcade; two 161″ projection screens; and multiple TVs. After opening, The Alley quickly became a hot spot for watching games and enjoying food and drinks.

Over the years, the establishment has also come to be known for giving back to Charleston community, hosting a multitude of charity fundraisers and supporting a vast number of local non-profits. The Alley is also a staple for hosting corporate and group outings in their multiple private event spaces.

Over the past decade, The Alley has also earned quite a few accolades, including being named among ‘America’s Coolest Bowling Alleys’ by Travel and Leisure Magazine and winning countless ‘Best Of’ awards in the Charleston City Paper’s ‘Best Sports Bar’ category; along with being named the ‘Best Bowling Alley’ for 10 consecutive years.

The Alley is venue unlike any other, hosting the city’s biggest game watching parties, their popular Studio 300 Anniversary Party, and even transforming into a concert venue featuring the likes of Coolio, Biz Markie, and Arrested Development.

The Alley is open six days a week and features unique and affordable daily specials and continues to be a favorite of sports fans and fun-seekers alike. Give The Alley a follow on Instagram to stay up to date on their upcoming events and promotions @thealleychas.
