SC Public Radio receives 14 RTDNAC awards, including “Outstanding News Operation”
COLUMBIA, SC – South Carolina ETV and Public Radio received 14 awards from the Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas (RTDNAC) this past weekend. Winners of the 2022 RTDNAC Awards were announced at a luncheon on November 12th at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
RTDNAC is a nonprofit, volunteer organization dedicated to showcasing the best broadcast journalism in North Carolina and South Carolina. RTDNAC also supports college students who aspire to a journalism career.
The annual awards ceremony brings together media professionals and journalism students to recognize them for their efforts in various categories.
In total, SC Public Radio received seven first place and eight second place awards in eleven categories ranging from “Entertainment” to “Long-Form Interview.”
RTDNAC recognized the network for its dedication to providing radio news coverage to listeners across the state, naming SC Public Radio first in the “Outstanding News Operation” category.
SC Public Radio reporter Victoria Hansen received second place for RTDNAC “Radio Reporter of the Year,” a title the veteran reporter received earlier in 2022 from the South Carolina Broadcasters Association.
