Greeting Card Competition Winners at the Holiday Festival of Lights

The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission (CCPRC) today announced the awards for the Holiday Festival of Lights’ annual Giant Greeting Card Competition. All entries in this school art competition are on display in Santa’s Village during the event, which runs nightly through December 31st at James Island County Park.

This year, the Giant Greeting Card Competition had 38 entries on display from Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester County student groups in elementary, middle, and high school divisions. The winning top three schools in each division received a plaque and cash award to use for their school arts program. Entries are on display in Santa’s Village.

This year’s winning schools:

Elementary School Division

1^st Place: James Island Elementary School

2^nd Place: Harbor View Elementary School

3^rd Place: The Island School

Middle School Division:

1^st Place: Summerville Catholic School

2^nd Place: Orange Grove Charter Middle School

3^rd Place: Blessed Sacrament Catholic School

High School Division:

1^st Place: All Booked

2^nd Place: Classical Conversations-Challenge III

3^rd Place: Crown Leadership Academy
