The Loutrel Getting in the Holiday Spirit with Festive Décor, Cocktails, and a Nonprofit Partner

The Loutrel has announced several festive events, offers, and more taking place this month including a week-long bar takeover in partnership with Charleston-based Nippitaty Distillery, a custom branded whisky sleeve by Clayton & Crume, and donations to local non-profit, One80 Place.

Here’s what the hotel has to offer:

ELIZABETH STUART COLLABORATION

To complement the holiday offerings, The Loutrel is collaborating with local interior designer Elizabeth Stuart for the second year in a row to deck the halls with festive décor. Taking inspiration from the classic Lowcountry lifestyle and Charlestonians’ love of the land, the Elizabeth Stuart team incorporated regional flora like magnolia wreaths and cypress bunches, in addition to fresh citrus such as pomegranates and figs, into the holiday décor.

FA-LA-LA LOUNGE POP-UP

From December 13th to 16th, Nippitaty Distillery will pop up in The Loutrel’s Veranda Lounge with a menu featuring its locally made gin and vodka. Highlights include the Winter’s Kiss with Lemon Champagne Sorbet and Butterfly Pea infused Nippitaty Gin; Southern Lights with Nippitaty Organic Gin, Frangellica, Frosted Flake Milk Punch, Snickerdoodle Rim topped with Strawberry Aperol Whipped Cream; and Flipping Apple Pie with Nippitaty Cinnamon Apple Gin, Meletti Amaro, All Spice Dram, Lemon, egg white, Demerara and Rosemary.

On Tuesday, December 13th from 5 pm to 7 pm, Nippitaty Distillery owner Traxler Littlejohn will host a “Meet the Distiller” evening, and on Thursday, December 15th from 3 pm to 5 pm, The Loutrel bartender Worship Chaleka will offer a specialty cocktail class with step-by-step instructions on how to recreate the seasonal cocktail menu at home. Both events require tickets, which can be purchased online through The Loutrel website here.

A VERY WHISKEY WINTER

The Loutrel is offering an elevated, creative whisky cocktail in a custom-branded whisky sleeve glass from Clayton & Crume, a high-end leather outfitter opening on King Street this month. Named “The Wrapping Paper,” guests that purchase the cocktail, priced at $50, will be able to keep the sleeve glass to take home, while supplies last.

GIVING TREE

Through Dec. 31, The Loutrel is partnering with One80 Place to support donations to the organization this holiday season. To make a contactless donation, guests will scan the QR code displayed in the Lounge. Those who donate $100 or more will receive a $10 food and beverage credit in the Veranda Lounge with proof of receipt. Additionally, a portion of proceeds from The Loutrel’s holiday cocktail sales during the month will benefit One80 Place.

A JOYOUS NOEL AT THE LOUTREL

Perfect for a staycation, the “Joyous Noel” package, available through Dec. 31, 2022, includes overnight accommodations for two, reserved seating on the rooftop with two hot toddies and a Matouk blanket. A two-night minimum stay is required and can be booked here or by calling 843-872-9600.
