CofC MBA Program Receives National Recognition from Bloomberg Businessweek, Fortune
The College of Charleston School of Business has recently been named among Bloomberg Businessweek’s 2022-23 Best Business Schools list for its Master of Business Administration program. The MBA program has also made Fortune’s 2022-23 Best MBA Programs list.
This year is the program’s third time appearing on Bloomberg’s list of the best business schools in the country and the first time it has appeared on Fortune’s list.
“Our MBA program continues to excel when it comes to academic quality, student experience and success,” says Paul Schwager, dean of the College of Charleston School of Business. “These recent rankings show how College of Charleston is a national player in graduate business education.”
The College’s one-year MBA program was established in 2010 and is the only one of its kind based in South Carolina. The nationally ranked program enables students to save a year of tuition and fees, re-enter the workforce quickly and graduate with critical business knowledge.
“As a relatively new program, we are very proud to receive this national recognition,” says Ron Magnuson, director of MBA and professional programs. “It is an affirmation of our goal to deliver a world-class MBA experience at an affordable price.”
Bloomberg Businessweek’s Best Business Schools rankings are based on enrollment, compensation and employment data from each school, and survey data by graduating students and recruiters.
A program on the rise, it has ranked higher each year since its first appearance on the list in 2019. This year, 117 programs appear on Bloomberg’s Best B-Schools list. The College’s MBA program rounds out the top 10 public, one-year programs in the country. Additionally, it is one of seven programs that achieved gender parity.
The accelerated program also adds to its list of accolades by debuting on Fortune’s 2022-23 Best MBA Programs list. The 76 programs on Fortune’s list were ranked based on factors including outcomes (e.g., earnings, job placement) and brand.
