EO Charleston Welcomes Inc. Magazine Editor-in-Chief to Inc. 5000 Event
EO Charleston, the Lowcountry’s local chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), a global organization representing nearly 18,000 entrepreneurs from more than 60 countries, announces it will host it’s annual Inc. 5000 celebration event on Jan. 12, 2023, at The Wonderer. This year’s guest of honor is Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. magazine. The event will highlight the 60 South Carolina businesses that earned a rank on the national list of top-growing privately owned companies.
Each year, Inc. magazine recognizes the 5,000 fastest-growing companies in the United States. Through a thorough review process, companies are selected based on growth criteria. In 2022, 60 businesses headquartered in South Carolina earned an Inc. 5000 ranking, up from 58 in 2021.
“Inc. 5000 is honored to celebrate the companies who demonstrate American ingenuity and resilience,” says Omelianuk. “The path to the Inc. 5000 list is one of dedication, and Inc. magazine recognizes those businesses who take charge and grow to become the most successful in America.”
The event will also feature the presentation of EO Charleston’s 2023 Entrepreneur Hall of Fame award. The recipient will be announced at the event.
At last year’s inaugural event, Patrick Bryant, co-founder of the Harbor Entrepreneur Center and Code/+/Trust, was the first inductee into the Entrepreneur Hall of Fame. Christina Lock, the founder of Catch Talent, was recognized for being the only female entrepreneur represented on the list from the Lowcountry and one of only two on the entire list from South Carolina.
“Entrepreneurship is a gift to our community and the state of South Carolina,” says Jessica Munday, founder and CEO of Trio Solutions Inc. (TRIO), a marketing agency based in Mount Pleasant, SC, and EO Charleston’s chapter president. “The entrepreneurs who earned a spot on the Inc. 5000 list deserve recognition at the local level. EO Charleston is honored to celebrate them and their impact on our economy.”
The Inc. 5000 event is made possible because of support from the chapter’s strategic alliance partners, including Viking Mergers & Acquisitions, TRIO, Coastal Strategic Capital, The Harbor Entrepreneur Center, Dr. Troy Hall, The Wonderer, Angel Oak Accounting, Insurance Office of America, Brad Franko Consulting LLC and Own Your Category.
