Pet Helpers Hosting PAW-JAMA Party for Kids
On Wednesday, December 21st, from 6 pm to 8 pm, Pet Helpers will host a holiday celebration for area animal loving children. The event, PAW-JAMA PARTY is a component of the Humane Education initiative with Pet Helpers, which aims to provide hands-on learning programs designed to both educate and inspire future Pet Helpers, encouraging our next generation to appreciate and care for animals by building a community with empathy, compassion, and respect all living beings.
“Our PAW-JAMA Party is a fun, interactive event to help brighten the day of both children in the Lowcountry as well as our pets,” said Leanne Gibson, Humane Education and Volunteer Coordinator. “It’s the perfect opportunity for parents to tackle those last minute holiday activities, or simply have a few hours to relax while their kids experience some holiday magic and help animals in need.”
Attendees can enjoy a pajama party featuring a screening of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, popcorn snacks, a take-home craft activity, decorating holiday cookies for the dogs, and interactive play with adoptable kittens and puppies.
The party is for children aged 5-10 years old. Tickets, which can be purchased on www.pethelpers.org, are $50 per child. A portion of the ticket cost is a tax-deductible.
The event will be held at Pet Helpers (1447 Folly Rd. on James Island).
