Charleston County 9-1-1 will Host Open Interviews in 2023

Charleston County’s Consolidated 9-1-1 Dispatch Center will host open interviews beginning in January. Perspective candidates will be able to interview and apply for jobs on site.

Open Position: 9-1-1 Public Safety Telecommunicator I (8.25-hour shifts)

Starting pay: $19.18/hour

Interviews will be held at the Charleston County Public Services building located at 4045 Bridge View Drive, North Charleston 29405, on the following dates.

• Wednesday, January 4 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Wednesday, January 18 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
• Wednesday, February 1 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Wednesday, February 15 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Please bring the following documents if you plan to apply:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Birth Certificate
• Driver’s License
• Social Security Card

Charleston County Government offers competitive pay, medical and dental benefits, retirement options, and paid leave. A High School diploma or GED is required, but no prior experience is needed. New hires will participate in an accredited training program.
