Greg Perry Announces Campaign for North Charleston City Council
Greg Perry (right) today announced his intentions to run for North Charleston City Council this year.
“I am humbled by the number of individuals here in North Charleston that have asked me to run for council,” he said. “After much prayer and consideration, I am excited about this incredible opportunity to run and serve in the city that I love. I plan to fight for more investment in our communities, and to defend those that have gone overlooked and underserved.”
Perry is a North Charleston native that started a nonprofit in 2009 to assist single moms with the necessities to enhance their everyday lives. He has served as a mentor, youth basketball coach, and adopted dad at schools for young boys. Additionally, Perry served as a volunteer chaplain at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
He has a B.S. in Business Administration, M.S. in Higher Education, and graduate hours towards an MBA from The Citadel. He previously worked as an educator in a middle school, and is now the program manager of an entrepreneurial program and an adjunct professor for a marketing course.
