Rep. Mace Votes to Block New IRS Funding
Rep. Nancy Mace on Monday voted to rescind new funding for the IRS that was originally passed by the previous Congress. The proposal has little chance of passing the Senate.
Rep. Mace released the following statement regarding her vote:
“We’d rather see 87,000 new border patrol agents than 87,000 new IRS agents targeting the Venmo accounts of private citizens, small businesses and other hard working Americans. Voting to repeal this funding is a necessary step to protect every South Carolinian, and is another promise kept in the first days of the new Congress.”
