Today, the American Lung Association in South Carolina announced that the Lip Sync For Lungs Battle VII “We Be-Lung Together”, presented by Audi Charleston, will be held LIVE on February 16th at the Charleston Music Hall.

The event features local celebrities performing lip sync and dance routines in an epic show-down to win the title of Lip Sync Battle Champion. Past winners include Kyle “K’Otic” Johnson, Bryan Mahanes (Other Brother Entertainment), Robert Beall, DMD (James Island Family, Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry), Susan Pearlstine, Dr. Yanis Bellil (Roper St. Francis Healthcare), and Lance Oliver (Motley Rice Law Firm).

“When you can’t breathe, nothing else matters, said Margaret Ann Youngs, Development Director for the American Lung Association in South Carolina. “This unique, action-packed event features local celebrities in a wildly entertaining, concert-style event that raises funds that support lung health programs, life-saving lung cancer research, and advocacy efforts for clean air in South Carolina communities. With support from our event sponsors, donors and attendees, we’re defending the rights of our community to breathe clean air and serving individuals with lung disease.”

“This is by far one of the most creative and entertaining charity events that I’ve been a part of,” said Lori DeNicola, South Carolina Local Leadership Board Member, American Lung Association, and owner of Petaloso. “I’ve been involved since the event’s inception. I’m proud to partner with the American Lung Association as both a sponsor and the Event Chair for Lip Sync For Lungs knowing that funds raised will help ongoing efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease.”

This year’s celebrity performers include:

  • Francesca DiSalvo-Follmer (Pure Luxe Bride) & Drew Pond (Dock House Digital)
  • Crystal DeMey (Sing, Play & Learn with Miss Crystal)
  • Kelly Durrette (The Showroom Charleston)
  • Leslie Ann Newton-McKee

Money raised through the Lip Sync For Lungs Live Battle VII “We Be-Lung Together” presented by Audi Charleston will fund the American Lung Association in South Carolina’s efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease through local programs, advocacy efforts and research.
