City of Charleston to Hold AmeriCorps VISTA Virtual Information Session for 2023 Host Site Selection
The city of Charleston will hold a virtual information session for nonprofits and public agencies interested in this year’s AmeriCorps VISTA host site selection process on Thursday, January 19th at 9 am via Zoom.
AmeriCorps VISTA is the national service program of the Corporation for National and Community Service, designated specifically to fight poverty.
Under the program, VISTA members will work with local organizations for one year to create systems that allow the organization to more effectively serve their clients and community members.
The virtual information session on January 19 will provide an overview of the program and provide information on how local organizations can apply for workers, as well as the regulations and site requirements for additional staffing.
