The 2023 theme is RE-EMERGE. Following an unprecedented time over the last three years, we are all slowly but surely re-emerging to a brave new world, fraught with new challenges and risks, but full of opportunities. Creativity, innovation and thoughtfulness are all needed to deal with this new reality. An exciting lineup of speakers and performers will explore many important and inspiring ideas at the 2023 TEDxCharleston event, appropriately themed “Re-Emerge.” Stay tuned – 2023 Speakers and Performers to be announced soon!

TEDxCharleston is thrilled to follow up a successful 2022 event where three of the presenters in 2022 were selected and distributed to the global TED network, including Sam Norton, Karen Perlmutter, and Dr. John Rhodes.

Founded in 1984, TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, and Design, and the inspiring, innovative, and important research, ideas, and disciplines that shape and connect our world for the better.

TEDxCharleston is committed to representing the Charleston community with authenticity and is inclusive of all speakers and attendees. The impact that the ideas emanating from the TEDxCharleston stage has made in our community is a result of the diversity of our speakers and their ideas, and we provide equal opportunity and consideration for all applicants as long as they follow the application criteria.
