SCDP Releases Statement Ahead of Trump’s Visit to Columbia

Ahead of Donald Trump’s campaign event today in Columbia, Democratic Party Chair Trav Robertson, Jr. released the following statement:

“Look no further than the conspicuous absence of Nikki Haley and Tim Scott from Donald Trump’s return to the Palmetto State for a reminder of how messy things are about to get for Republicans heading into 2024. South Carolina is sure to be ground zero for MAGA Republicans’ race for the MAGA base as they push for increasingly extreme abortion bans and tax giveaways to their special interest donors. I’m counting on Governor McMaster to make sure his best friend Donald Trump pays for the use of state government property and personnel.”
