Sisters of Charity Foundation of SC Announces New Senior Director of Grantmaking and Strategy
The Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina (SCFSC) has announced the promotion of Meredith Mathews (right) to Senior Director of Grantmaking and Strategy.
In her new role, Meredith will lead the Foundation’s grant programs and ensure the effective integration of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) tools across departments for successful strategy implementation. She will also oversee the staff responsible for grants administration and values integration.
“Our entire team is grateful for Meredith and her thoughtful leadership,” said Donna Waites, President of the Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina. “Under Meredith’s direction, we look forward to sharpening our grant program’s strategy and deepening our impact on reducing poverty in the state of South Carolina.”
Meredith has been with the Foundation for over seven years, most recently serving as the Foundation’s Program Director.
“I am thrilled to take on this expanded role with the Foundation,” said Mathews. “I look forward to an exciting year as I step into this position to manage our organization’s strategic path and ensure that our work continues to be grounded in our mission and values. I am grateful to work alongside an amazing team at the Foundation and support the work of grantee partners across the state as we work together towards a South Carolina where all people have the resources to thrive.”
Meredith graduated Summa Cum Laude from Columbia College and holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Minors in Philosophy, French, and Gender and Women’s Studies. She also studied French at Université Catholique de l’Ouest and completed her Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University.
