The Refinery Announces Spring 2023 Music Lineup
The Refinery today announced that their 2023 concert season will kick off with a top-tier lineup of performers and festivals. Located on Charleston’s upper peninsula at 1640 Meeting Street, The Refinery’s outdoor music amphitheater anchors the mixed-use retail, office, and event space.

Sam Grisman Project presents the music of Garcia/Grisman – March 3rd
Bassist Sam Grisman, son of legendary mandolinist David Grisman, has formed a new band to honor the musical legacy his father created with dear friend Jerry Garcia. By melding selections from Grisman and Garcia’s beloved repertoire with new original music, The Grisman Project aims to show the impact that Grisman and Garcia’s music has had on their individual voices. Drifter Fest: Bert Griggs Memorial Jam – March 31st and April 1st
The third annual Drifter Fest will celebrate the life of the late Bert Griggs. The Refinery is excited for a weekend of events complete with performances from legendary bassist George Porter Jr. and The Runnin’ Pardners, Southern rock band Tishamingo, and supporting acts Gavin Hamilton and Friends featuring Wallace Mullinax, Broken Speakers and Just Groove. Local food, beverages and other fun vendors will be on site throughout the weekend. A portion of proceeds from Drifter Fest will benefit Carolina Studios, a nonprofit fostering creative, educational and career-focused initiatives for students through music, technology and media arts. Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real – April 9th
One of the finest, in-demand rock ‘n’ roll ensembles working today, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real are bringing their powerful, joyous live show to Charleston. The show promises well-known POTR hits alongside new favorites from their widely acclaimed 2021 studio album, A Few Stars Apart, like standout singles “Perennial Bloom (Back To You)” and “Wildest Dreams.” Tickets can be purchased HERE.
Del McCoury – April 14th
The Del McCoury Band, with Del on lead guitar and vocals and his sons Ronnie and Rob on mandolin and banjo, has brought home another stellar collection of traditional bluegrass music with their latest release, Del McCoury Still Sings Bluegrass. This tour will mark McCoury’s sixth decade in bluegrass plus nine IBMA Entertainer of the Year awards and two Grammy wins along the way. Tickets will go on sale Friday, February 3 at 10 am. HERE.
