Nappy Roots to Headline Charleston Wine + Food’s “Hip Hops: The ReMix” Event
On Friday, March 3rd, the Southern Hip Hop icons and Grammy nominees, Nappy Roots, will headline Charleston Wine + Food’s “Hip Hops: The ReMix” event at the Music Farm. The program starts at 7:30 pm.
Nappy Roots are best known for their hit singles “Po’ Folks,” “Awnaw,” “Roun’ The Globe,” and “Good Day.”
Tickets are on sale now, but there is limited capacity for the event. In addition to the concert, the event that will also spotlight celebrated brewers including April Dove of Goose Creek’s Tha CommUNITY and Steve Schofield of Pangaea Brewery, beer influencer Jamaal Lemon of Good Beer Hunting, and others.
Featured chefs include Chi Walker and Nik R. Cole of Detroit’s Fried Chicken & Caviar, Jamie Barnes and Gregory Williams from What the Fries in Charlotte, NC, Lamar Moore of Marie’s Southern Kitchen and Bar, Edward Brumfield of NY, Christian Keith of Vined, and others (food and beverage are included in the ticket price).
The evening will also feature a performance by DJ B-Lord, a South Carolina native.
