Alcove Market, a café and specialty food market, is now open on the first floor of The Jasper in downtown Charleston. The market has grab-and-go dishes, a full-service coffee program, local craft beers, wines, and gourmet pantry products. From hospitality company Easton Porter Group, owners and operators of Zero George Street and Cannon Green, Alcove Market is led by Chef Orlando Pagán, 2022 James Beard Foundation Award semifinalist and executive chef of sister restaurant Wild Common.

“With a menu rooted in wellness-forward and health-conscious cuisine, Alcove Market is designed to bring an upscale, contemporary dining experience to the heart of downtown,” said Easton Porter Group Co-Founder and CEO Dean Porter Andrews.

Alcove Market boasts views of the Cooper and Ashley Rivers from the city’s Harleston Village neighborhood and features both indoor and outdoor dining. Chef Pagán’s menu features fresh-pressed juices along with nutritious, balanced cuisine such as avocado toast served on Charleston Gold Rice bread, a rainbow quinoa bowl with house-made green goddess dressing, and a breakfast flatbread topped with a poached egg, prosciutto, arugula, caramelized onions, and pesto. Breakfast and lunch are served seven days a week, with a comprehensive coffee program inspired by local coffee roaster King Bean.

“Alcove Market is the ideal addition to not only The Jasper’s office, lifestyle retail and residential offerings, but also to the Broad Street neighborhood,” says Dan Doyle, Chief Operating Officer at The Beach Company, The Jasper’s developer. “We are fortunate to have Easton Porter Group, a well-respected restaurant operator in
