Local Comedian to Tape Special at The Sparrow
Comedian Josh Bates is set to tape his first comedy special and album at The Sparrow in Park Circle on March 18th at both 7 pm and 9 pm. Bates, a retired disabled military veteran, has been entertaining audiences for five years with his unique brand of humor, drawing inspiration from his experiences as a veteran, father, and “mediocre husband.”
The Sparrow, which is owned by Cami Kind, has experienced a resurgence in popularity after Kind partnered with Bates to become the areas go-to place for comedy following the COVID-19 pandemic. For the last 3 years, Comedy at the Sparrow has hosted comedians from around the country including Comedy Cellar regulars Dave Hill, Shane Torres, and Monroe Martin.
The production company behind the taping, Four by Three Films, has produced comedy specials across the country, with their work appearing on popular streaming platforms such as Amazon and Tubi.
