South Carolina Is 2023’s 9th Most Sinful State – WalletHub Study

Personal finance website WalletHub today released its report on 2023’s Most Sinful States and South Carolina checked in at No. 9 on the list – the exact same ranking from last year. As the Holy City’s most prolific sinner, I’d like to take most of the credit for this ranking.

To determine where the U.S. has the most moral growing to do, WalletHub compared the 50 states based on seven sinful behaviors: anger and hatred, jealousy, excesses and vices, greed, lust, vanity and laziness.

Here are some highlights from the report:

Sinfulness of South Carolina (1=Most Sinful; 25=Avg.):

• 3^rd – Anger & Hatred
• 7^th – Jealousy
• 13^th – Excesses & Vices
• 12^th – Greed
• 16^th – Lust
• 24^th – Vanity
• 13^th – Laziness
