Michelin Star Chef Helps The Sweetgrass Lounge Reimagine Food Menu
The Sweetgrass Lounge, the official flagship location of the locally-owned Sweet Grass Vodka, has partnered with George Kovach, founder of Bearcat, to reimagine their food menus. Kovach has over 15 years of experience working in the service industry, including eight years working in Michelin-starred restaurants. Prior to founding Bearcat, he helped manage some of the top Michelin-starred restaurants in Chicago. In 2017, Kovach received a Young Gun nomination from Eater, as well as the semi-finalist spot on Zagat’s first national 30 under 30 list.
After two years of hosting pop-ups around town, Kovach plans to open the Bearcat restaurant next month at 25 Magnolia Road in West Ashley. The space was previously occupied by Al Di La.
The Sweetgrass Lounge is located in The Refinery at 1640 Meeting Street Road.
