Charleston Bay Gourmet Under New Ownership
John G. Thornhill and Irving Peters started Charleston Bay Gourmet in 1991, and after the passing of Thornhill in 2018, Peters took over as the sole owner. Kieran DiMaio, who began working for the company in 2017, loved the idea of taking over the business when Irving mentioned retirement. Kieran, who has a background in the culinary industry along with her husband, Joe, a veteran Charleston chef who already owns a private chef company, Chainey Briar Chef Solutions, made the leap to buy Charleston Bay Gourmet.
