Gatsby Orchestra to Celebrate 100 Years of “The Charleston” with Community Dance-Off

On Saturday, March 4th, the Gatsby Orchestra invites the community to a free dance event in Marion Square in honor of a famous dance’s centennial. Starting at noon, the authentic 1920s and 1930s jazz orchestra will host “Charleston to the Charleston in Charleston,” a dance-off celebrating 100 years of “The Charleston.”

• Dance Master Stephen Duane will lead in synchronizing dance steps to “The Charleston”

• Dance to additional musical selections performed by the Gatsby Orchestra until 1:30 pm
• 1920’s Dress is “greatly encouraged,” but not required!
