South Carolina Is 2023’s State with the 5th Lowest Real-Estate Property Taxes – WalletHub Study

Personal finance website WalletHub today released its 2023 Property Taxes by State and they determined that South Carolina has the 5th lowest in the country.

In order to determine who pays the most relative to their state, WalletHub compared home and vehicle taxes across the nation.

Property Taxes in South Carolina (1^st=Lowest; 25^th=Avg.):

• Real-Estate Property Tax Rank: 5^th
• Vehicle Property Tax Rank: 48^th
• Real-Estate Tax on Median State Home Value: $1,379
• Real-Estate Tax on Median U.S. Home Value: $1,024
