Carolina Ice Palace to Host National Sled Hockey Tournament & National Figure Skating Competition
The Carolina Ice Palace on Monday announced that they will be home to two nationally-recognized events this year. From Friday, March 31st, through Sunday, April 2nd, the Charleston Warriors Sled Hockey Program will host the South East Sled Hockey League Championship at Carolina Ice Palace.
As the Warriors’ home for practices and games, the Ice Palace is honored to welcome sled hockey programs from across the US to their ice rinks as they battle it out for the title of the 2023 South East Sled Hockey League Champions. Fans are welcome to cheer on our local Charleston Warriors on Friday, March 31st at 6:30 pm as they kick off the tournament against the Tampa Bay Lightning Sled Hockey team. Admission is free for spectators.
Then, this summer, Carolina Ice Palace will host the Charleston Open Figure Skating Competition from Thursday, July 27th, through Sunday, July 30th, as a qualifying competition for the U.S. Figure Skating Sectional Finals in November. Talented skaters from across the nation will travel to Charleston to compete for their chance to qualify for the national competition. Everyone is invited to watch the competition for free.
