Tickets to WAF’s Adult Queer Prom Are On Sale Now

Tri-County-based nonprofit We Are Family (WAF) will host South Carolina’s only Adult Queer Prom on Saturday, June 10th, from 7 pm to 11 pm, at The Gibbes Museum of Art, offering the local LGBTQI+ community and allies a second chance to have the prom experience they have always dreamed of. Early bird tickets are now available for purchase here!

From now until April 14th, early bird pricing for tickets to “The Sweetest Escape” Candy Land-themed Adult Queer Prom are $60 for General Admission and $120 for VIQ (Very Important Queer) tickets. After April 14th, those prices will increase to $80 and $160 respectively.

At this year’s Adult Prom, guests can expect a special appearance by Rupaul’s Drag Race Season 11 star, Shuga Cain. While the rest of the lineup has yet to be revealed, guests can expect live music and entertainment, an interactive photo booth, an auction with prizes donated by local businesses, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and access to a full bar.

A General Admission ticket grants guests entry to the event, and gives them access to a variety of interactive activation stations; a full candy bar powered by Tanis J. Events; free meet and greet with this year’s special guest Shuga Cain; heavy hors d’oeuvres, bites, and treats; unique photo opportunities; special access to event photos; 1 free raffle ticket; and 1 drink ticket.

The purchase of a VIQ ticket gives you additional access to a special VIQ area with premium open bar presented by Moët Hennessy; early entry to event’s cocktail hour starting at 6 pm; early access to meet and greet with special guest Shuga Cain; priority seating for live auction and performances; and 10 raffle tickets.
