BCLS Hosting Scam Prevention for Senior Adults at Goose Creek Library
Berkeley County Library System (BCLS) invites senior adults to participate in Scam Prevention for Seniors on Saturday, April 15th, 2023 from 11 am to 12 pm at the Goose Creek Library, located at 325 Old Moncks Corner Road.
Ingrid Centurion, Founder/President of Generations for America, will conduct the program to educate seniors about dangerous scammers, consequences of revealing sensitive personal information, authorization of funds, and victim prevention. Attendance of this event does not require registration.
“I can’t express how important these sessions are for the community,” said Ingrid Centurion, Founder/President of Generations for America. “8.8 billion dollars have been lost to scams, and the scams are becoming more sophisticated. Education is the key in protecting your life savings, your personal identity and your future.”
