Charleston County Hosting Earth Day Shredding Event

Charleston County Environmental Management will host a free shred event for Charleston County residents on Saturday, April 22nd, from 10 am to noon, at the recycling center located at 8099 Palmetto Commerce Parkway.

Residents are invited to come into the recycling center to check out the education space and ask staff any questions related to recycling. The recycling center open house will be a drop-in event; no registration is required. Staff will be giving away free reusable totes to anyone who brings in plastic bags to be recycled properly. As a reminder, residents should not recycle plastic bags or bagged items in their Charleston County recycling carts.

The free shredding event is for Charleston County residents only and not for businesses. The event will be held rain or shine.
