The Charleston Battery head to Florida to face the Tampa Bay Rowdies on Weds., April 12, at 7:30 p.m. ET at Al Lang Stadium. The game is the first of two road matches for the Black and Yellow this week.

Charleston will look to replicate their performance against Tampa Bay just two-and-a-half weeks ago, a commanding 3-0 victory at home. Fidel Barajas, Augi Williams and Nick Markanich all scored during the triumph.

The Rowdies, however, appear to be finding their form after securing a decisive 2-0 victory over Miami FC on Saturday. The result snapped a four-game winless streak for Tampa Bay and fans can expect a revengeful Rowdies side looking to make up for the March 25 defeat.

The Battery arrive in Tampa Bay looking to build upon the momentum of their dramatic 3-2 victory over Hartford Athletic on Saturday. In a contentious and evenly-matched contest through stoppage time, Arturo Rodriguez pulled off the late heroics with a goal scored directly off a free kick to secure the three points. Fidel Barajas also added his third assist of the season during the game, tied for the most in the league.

Battery Head Coach Ben Pirmann returns to the touchline on Wednesday after serving a one-game red card suspension in the Hartford match.

Goalkeeper Trey Muse is approaching a personal milestone moment and could notch his 250th career regular-season save; he currently has 248 to his name.

Tampa Bay has three players to keep an eye on: Felix Schröter, Cal Jennings, and Zach Herivaux. The trio is the team’s joint top scorers, each with one goal.

Augi Williams is a player to watch for the Battery. He has three goals across all competitions already and scored the equalizer in last year’s 1-1 draw in Tampa Bay.

Wednesday will be the second leg of the No Quarter Derby, a supporter group-led rivalry between the fans that spans the season series. Supporters of the winning team will receive a cooler chest full of beers from the fans of the losing team. The Battery were winners of the 2022 edition.
