Chucktown Brewdown Homebrew Festival Returns on April 22nd
Fam’s Brewing Co. on James Island will be celebrating their 6th anniversary with the return of their homebrew festival, Chucktown Brewdown, on Saturday, April 22nd, from 1 pm – 5 pm.
This year, 70 of the Lowcountry’s best homebrewers will brew their favorite brown ale beer for the public to sample. They will even have additional styles of beers for people to enjoy.
Guests can drink and talk with the homebrewers, listen to live music from the local band Ashes of Old Ways, play games on the patio, and enjoy a pint of Fam’s Brewing Co’s 6th-anniversary beer and some pizza.
At the end of the festival, Fam’s Brewing Co. will award the homebrewing team that the judging panel selected as the best brown ale. In addition, the winning team will join the head brewer to brew their winning beer on their professional system and be placed on tap at the brewery, where a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the charity of the homebrewer’s choice, along with other prizes.
Only 300 tickets are available, and guests can save $10 by getting their $20 tickets in advance at chucktownbrewdown.com. Day of sales are not guaranteed. Any available tickets sold at the door will be $30.
