Ralph H. Johnson VA Health Care System Hosting PACT Act Informational Event for Veterans
The Ralph H. Johnson VA Health Care System will be hosting a PACT Act Informational event on Tuesday, April 18th at the North Charleston VA Outpatient Clinic for Veterans who may have been exposed to burn pits and other toxins while serving overseas. The event will run from from 9 am to 12 pm.
Eligibility, enrollment and benefits claims specialists will be on-site for the event. Burn pit and toxic exposure screenings will also be provided to eligible Veterans.
The PACT Act was signed into law on August 10th and expands VA health care and benefits for Veterans exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange, and other toxic substances. Specific information about the PACT Act and its impact on Veterans will be briefed at 9 am and can also be found on the VA’s PACT Act information website.
The North Charleston VA Outpatient Clinic is located at 6450 Rivers Ave.
