Black Food Truck Festival Kicks Off This Weekend

The Black Food Truck Festival returns this weekend with over forty-five food trucks and live musical performances celebrating Black businesses and culture with a cigar and hookah lounge, 21+ bar areas, Afro artisan marketplace, kids’ play zone, mobile bowling alley, lawn games, and more. Tickets are on sale online for the two-day festival being held on April 22nd and 23rd at the Exchange Park Fairgrounds in Ladson.

The festival will also host the newly-added event, the Rhythm and Booze Opening Soiree, on Friday, April 21st from 8 pm to midnight at The Wonderer (1705 Meeting Street Rd.). Limited tickets are available for this night of live music, small bites, craft cocktails, and more. The event will feature DJ Shae Balboa upstairs and live music from The Fellas downstairs.

The main festival runs from noon to 7 pm for general admission and 11 am to 7 pm for VIP ticket holders. Admission is $30, or purchase a two-day ticket for $55. Tickets do not include food. Children age 12 and under are admitted for free. No pets allowed. Parking is free. Purchase tickets at www.blackfoodtruckfestival.com.

The Exchange Park Fairgrounds is located at 9850 Highway 78 in Ladson.
