Waccamaw Community Foundation To Begin Accepting Competitive Grant Applications on May 1st
MURRELLS INLET, S.C. – Waccamaw Community Foundation, the Waccamaw Region’s only community foundation, will begin accepting applications for its Competitive Grants Program on May 1st.
Grant applications will be accepted through June 30th at noon at www.WaccamaWCF.org. Only non-profit organizations in Horry and Georgetown counties in good standing with the IRS are eligible to apply. This is the only competitive grants application for 2023 so agencies are encouraged to apply.
Grants are provided to the community by generous donors to the Waccamaw Community Trust, Elsie Beavers Carver and E. Lois Carver Education Fund and Waccamaw Community Foundation Educational Fund.
When the application window closes, WCF’s Granting Committee, comprised of area volunteers, will review and rank requests by the Foundation’s scoring framework.
Decisions on funding will be announced in September 2023 following approval by the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
“The Competitive Program is one of our most important initiatives,” said Mike Mancuso, executive director of the WCF. “This program allows us to help non-profit organizations provide vital resources to our community every year. We look forward to helping as many organizations throughout the Grand Strand community as possible.”
